Jakarta, October 2025 — The Indonesian Nuclear Society (HIMNI) and the Rosatom Women’s Community, supported by the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, the Eurasian Women’s Forum Council, and the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia (BRIN), will jointly organize the Indonesia–Russia Dialogue-Forum for Women in High-Tech Industries under the topic  “Cooperation for Sustainable Development of Industry and Technology.”

This milestone event marks the developing collaboration between women leaders in Indonesia and Russia’s high-technology sectors. The forum aims to promote knowledge sharing, enhance women’s leadership in STEM, and showcase how innovation — especially in clean nuclear, renewable, and digital technologies — can accelerate national sustainable development goals and inspire the next generation of scientists.

More than 100 female specialists and students from Indonesia, Russia, Turkey, Egypt, Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, and other countries will gather to discuss women’s roles in advancing innovation, sustainable industry, and public engagement in science and technology. The dialogue will also strengthen global collaboration on responsible and inclusive technological development.

A key focus of the forum will be Indonesia’s vision of advance in high technologies — including nuclear, renewable, and medical applications — as part of its long-term strategy for clean energy, better quality of life, and human capacity building. The event underscores how science and society can be bridged through transparency, education, and collaboration.

The program will open with an International Mentoring Session “Women in STEM” on November 4 at the Indonesian Defense University (UnHan), followed by plenary and discussion sessions on November 5 at BRIN’s Research Complex in Serpong. Sessions will highlight themes such as nuclear technologies for sustainability, women’s leadership in research, and green innovation for energy transition.

The Forum will also feature the annual meeting of the International Council for the Support and Development of Women in Technology and Industry (ICWITI), where members will review yearly achievements and elect the next chair country following Indonesia’s 2024–2025 leadership term.

The event reaffirms Indonesia’s and Russia’s shared commitment to empowering women in science, fostering public trust, and promoting responsible innovation across the global high-technology landscape.
